Gustavo León Villa Moreno

Chemist and a University teacher with an extensive experience in agricultural transformation processes, biological control of pests, diseases, and industrial management of solid waste. He has been an associate researcher of the Biotechnology group at the University of Antioquia, where he has begun his training in Cannabis, with emphasis on extraction and purification processes. There he enrolled in the Doctorate in Biotechnology, with his PhD thesis in Cannabis proteomics, since then, he has served as a consultant and provider to big and small industrial licensees in Colombia. He is one of the scientific promoters of Asocannacol, together with his team of Autocultivadores, has acclimated and pollinated CBD genetics, with whom he works in the knowledge of different genetics and its complex of pests and diseases, currently together with its group of Autocultivadores are conducting a detailed inventory of pests and diseases in the East Antioquia.

He has been a designer and builder equipment in glass and steel for the extraction and purification, likewise he works actively in the demystification of the plant and in the development of the industry from the achievement of suitable lands. The design and assembly of the crop and transformation areas, the management of remote sensors to measure environmental conditions, analytical techniques to determine the purity and degree of contamination and the marketing of cannabinoids and terpenes in the external market.
